If you've ever wanted Oprah Winfrey to make your dreams come true, it's now or never.
With the talk show queen's 25 years coming to an end this year, producers are putting out one final call for Harpo Hook-Ups, those segments in which Oprah brings guests on stage and then stuns them with such surprises as college scholarships; dinners and outings with famous athletes, singers and actors; and perhaps the most famous of all, the "You Get a Car!" giveaway.
Among some other memorable hook-ups have included when Justin Timberlake gave a golf lesson (and a new set of clubs) to a lifelong fan; the time that Oprah surprised her audience with a trip to Disney World, including throwing a Cinderella-style wedding for a couple with the help of Celine Dion; and the show when NBA star Shaquille O'Neal reached out to Brenden Adams, a then 12-year-old who stood 7'4" because of a genetic abnormality that caused him to keep growing. Shaq flew Brenden and his mother to a Phoenix Suns basketball game and then gave him a giant-sized pair of shoes that weren't even on the market yet, followed by a trip to his own personal tailor who custom-made the young fan some new duds.
There's no telling who Oprah will pick or what request she will be able to fulfill this time around, but there won't be another chance like this again, so the only thing to do is come up with your best wish and go for it.
She should probably start getting some calls out to Brad Pitt right away.
