With six children under age 10 and two movie-star parents, the Jolie-Pitts are no ordinary family. Yet a source close to the fam tells People that the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's home life is actually pretty... well, normal.
"The family live in a way that can best be described as organized chaos," says the insider. "Of course it's wild when all the kids are there, and evening tends to be a bit chaotic with dinner and bedtime."
Dinnertime bedlam aside, it sounds like Pitt, 47, and Jolie, 35, aren't going to require a visit from Supernanny anytime soon. "(They) are both good with rules, and there are definitely consequences, like time-outs, for bad behavior," says the insider. "But for the most part the kids all get along."
Well, it's a good thing that the siblings are close -- considering that few other kids on Earth could relate to their day-to-day life. The Jolie-Pitt brood consists of adopted children Maddox, 9, Pax, 7, and Zahara, 6, as well as biological kids Shiloh, 4, Knox, 2, and Vivienne, 2. The hard-to-miss group is frequently spotted by the paparazzi in exotic locales, usually where their parents are shooting films or doing humanitarian work. (This weekend, they were out and about in New Orleans.) However, now that the kids are getting older, they're spending more time in Los Angeles to accommodate school schedules.
Pitt is currently filming the crime thriller Coogan's Trade in New Orleans, while Jolie hopes she'll soon be playing Cleopatra. Hopefully the kids can fit a trip to Egypt into their school calendars!
