Can't Make the Royal Wedding? Listen to It on iTunes!

Can't Make the Royal Wedding? Listen to It on iTunes!

Get ready for "William and Kate: The Original Soundtrack Recording"!

Decca Records has announced they will release an album of the entire royal wedding ceremony on iTunes, which will be available for download mere hours after the event. For Prince William and Kate Middleton fans with short attention spans, they'll also release individual tracks -- including the couple's vows -- as singles.

"It will capture a piece of history for a new generation," says Decca Records President Dickon Stainer. And as the first royal wedding recording to be entered on the digital charts, the album itself will be a part of history.

Even so, this won't be the first time a royal wedding ceremony has been recorded for the masses. Back in the days of vinyl, civilians could purchase recordings of Princess Diana and Prince Charles' 1981 wedding, Princess Anne and Mark Phillips' 1973 wedding, and even Queen Elizabeth's 1947 wedding to Prince Philip. Of course, none of them will compare in audio quality to this new digital recording.

But will it actually be worth listening to? Definitely -- if you're into classical and traditional British music. Confirmed wedding musicians include the Choir of Westminster Abbey, the Chapel Royal Choir, the London Chamber Orchestra and the Fanfare Team from The Royal Air Force. However, the prince and princess-to-be's pop favorites like Kanye West and The Black Eyed Peas are not scheduled to play during the wedding.

"This is a great honor and an enormous responsibility," says Anna Barry, the album's producer. "The wedding means so much to millions of people all over the world -- we have to capture every note and every nuance perfectly."
