What are Lost Stars Doing Now?

What are Lost Stars Doing Now?

ABC's Lost has been over for several months now, but its huge cast of actors have been popping up all over the big and small screens. It looks like of all the Island's curses, preventing its stars from having successful careers after Lost doesn't seem to be one of them!

Perhaps the most visible successes have been Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet), who made a smooth shift over to ABC's mini series, V; and Daniel Dae Kim, who's starring in Hawaii Five-O. But several of their fellow cast mates quickly landed TV gigs, too. Sonya Walger (Penny) and Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) went on to big roles in ABC's ill-fated Flash Forward; and Walger then scored a supporting part in the critically acclaimed third season of HBO's In Treatment. And no less than four Lost stars are set to star in high profile, upcoming pilots.

Shonda Rhimes, who created Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, has cast Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond) in her new show, tentatively titled In Crisis -- as a "handsome, intense and brilliant litigator" who works for a crisis-management-focused publicist. Lost creator JJ Abrams has several TV projects in the works, and he's called on some old Losties to star in them. Jorge Garcia (Hurley) is set to appear in Fox's Alcatraz -- about the bizarre reappearance of 30 missing prisoners. Michael Emerson (Ben), meanwhile, will play a leading role in Abrams' crime-fighting drama, Person of Interest. And Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has enlisted Terry O'Quinn (Locke) to play a villainous, small-town businessman in his drama, Hallelujah

As for the main love triangle on Lost, Evangeline Lilly (Kate) will appear alongside Hugh Jackman in this fall's sci-fi/boxing drama, Real Steel. Josh Holloway (Sawyer) will be backing up Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 4. (He'll also guest star in the season finale of NBC's Community.)  And Matthew Fox (Jack) is in London, making his West End stage debut in a play titled In a Forest Dark and Deep.

It's too early to predict which of these cast members will truly get off the island, and which ones are destined to remain there forever in our collective imaginations. But with all these opportunities, chances are most of them will leave it far behind.
